Welltory Joins the October 2026 Mayo Clinic Platform Accelerate Cohort
Welltory has been selected to participate in the 30-week pathway of Mayo Clinic Platform Accelerate, where we aim to advance personalized exercise guidance for people living with chronic conditions.

Proud to be part of the newest cohort
We're excited to join the October 2026 Mayo Clinic Platform Accelerate cohort. Welltory was selected to participate in the program's 30-week pathway, alongside health technology companies from around the world working on challenges from oncology and cardiology to rare diseases and mental health.
You can meet the full cohort on the Mayo Clinic Platform website.
About Mayo Clinic Platform Accelerate
Mayo Clinic Platform Accelerate is a program that helps health technology companies develop, advance and deploy their solutions. Over 30 weeks, participating companies work through a structured curriculum with 1:1 technical mentorship, access to de-identified clinical data, and guidance from experts across clinical, regulatory, technology and business areas.
What we're working on: movement as medicine
Most heart rate guidance assumes every heart works the same way. Standard zones usually start from a simple formula, such as 220 minus your age. For people managing chronic conditions, that assumption doesn't hold — the same number can mean very different things.
To bridge this gap, Welltory is advancing phenotype-aware exercise guidance — delivering custom heart rate limits and daily load budgets that help users stay active safely.
Through this program, we aim to further validate and scale our approach to personalized exercise guidance for chronic conditions. We're honored to collaborate with Mayo Clinic Platform and fellow healthcare innovators.
Why this matters to our community
Many people who use Welltory live with at least one chronic condition. For them, "just exercise more" is rarely useful advice. They need to know how much is enough, when to stop, and how today's activity will affect how they feel tomorrow.
“Standard heart rate guidance assumes every heart operates the same way. For millions of people managing chronic conditions, that assumption doesn't hold,” said Jane Smorodnikova, co-founder and CEO of Welltory. “Through this program, we aim to validate and scale our phenotype-aware approach to exercise guidance, giving people actionable, personalized limits they can trust.”
What's next
Over the coming months, we'll be collaborating through the Platform Accelerate program and leveraging Mayo Clinic Platform resources as part of the cohort. We'll share updates on our work as it progresses.
Thank you to Steven Wardell for hosting the event where it all started.
