Home » Community Guidelines
Last updated: July 7, 2026
These Community Guidelines are incorporated into our Community Terms of Service and explain the rules, safety standards, and member responsibilities that apply to Welltory Health Communities. They apply to all Community members, moderators, Group Health Educators, and participants, and to all Community spaces, cohorts, groups, channels, events, posts, messages, files, reactions, and interactions, regardless of the platform or format used to provide Community Services.
Violation may result in content removal, suspension, or permanent ban. Legal consequences of violations and Welltory's enforcement rights are set out in the Community Terms of Service.
Capitalized terms not defined in this Community Guidelines have the meanings given in the Community Terms of Service , Community Privacy Addendum and Privacy Policy .
The Community is a peer-support and educational space for people with similar health profiles, which may be organized into groups, cohorts, channels, or other formats. It is not a medical service, clinical trial, telehealth service, digital therapeutic, or crisis intervention resource.
Nothing shared in the Community — by members, Group Health Educators, moderators, Welltory, or AI-assisted tools — replaces consultation with your own qualified healthcare provider.
The Group Health Educator shares evidence-informed educational content and may answer questions at a group level. The Group Health Educator does not provide individual medical advice, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, prescriptions, clinical interpretation of your personal data, private health messaging, emergency support, or crisis response, and does not serve as your treating physician or personal healthcare provider.
The Group Health Educator can only engage with group-level questions. Frame your questions accordingly:
| ✅ GOOD — group-level framing | ❌ AVOID — individual framing |
|---|---|
| “What does research say about HRV patterns in people with post-exertional energy limitations?” | “I have these specific symptoms — what do I have?” |
| “What does current evidence say about lifestyle factors that may support day-to-day energy management for people with this type of health profile?” | “Should I take this specific medication?” |
| “What do clinical guidelines say about fatigue management in long-term illness?” | “Can you look at my data and tell me if something is wrong?” |
Do not ask the Group Health Educator, moderators, Welltory staff, or other members to review your individual symptoms, diagnoses, medications, lab results, wearable data, treatment decisions, or personal health situation in private messages.
Do not send personal medical records, lab reports, prescriptions, screenshots containing identifiable health data, or other sensitive health documents through private messages or Community channels.
Community participation must stay within the peer-support and educational boundaries described in these Guidelines. If you need advice about your individual health situation, consult your own qualified healthcare provider.
Welltory uses AI-assisted moderation and facilitation.
AI tools may:
The AI does NOT provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It does not represent itself as a licensed healthcare professional and does not replace or impersonate the Group Health Educator. Human moderators review AI flags before member-level enforcement actions such as suspensions or bans.
AI-generated or AI-assisted messages posted by Welltory in Community channels will be clearly labeled, for example with “AI-assisted” or a similar visible notice, where required by applicable law or where needed for transparency. If you are unsure whether content was generated by AI or by the Group Health Educator, check for the verified educator badge or contact [email protected] .
Although these Guidelines prohibit sharing other members’ information outside the Community, Welltory cannot guarantee that other members will follow the rules. Please avoid posting information that you would not want others to see or disclose.
Community Platform Data Storage — Read Before Posting
Community Services are currently hosted on or integrated with Discord. Community messages and files may be transmitted to and stored on Discord’s servers, not Welltory’s servers. If Welltory later uses another Community platform, similar platform-specific data storage and privacy terms may apply and will be disclosed where relevant.
Do NOT post:
If you accidentally share such information: use the in-channel Report function or contact [email protected] immediately.
Tips:
(a) Use a pseudonym as your Discord display name.
(b) Do not tag other members by their real names without explicit consent.
(c) Describe documents in text rather than uploading files with identifying information.
This Community uses a layered moderation system:
No member’s Community access is suspended or permanently revoked solely on the basis of an automated decision.
Violations are addressed progressively based on severity and frequency:
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | Private warning — you receive a notification specifying which rule was violated. Repeated violations of the same type may escalate to a suspension. |
| 2 | Content removal or restriction |
| 3 | Temporary suspension (24 hours to 30 days) — your ability to post is disabled for the duration. You may still read the community. After the suspension ends, posting is restored automatically. |
| 4 | Permanent ban — you are fully removed from the Community. Access to all channels is revoked immediately. This is the most severe action and is only reversed if the ban was applied in error (see Appeals below). |
Severe violations may result in immediate content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the Community without prior steps. Examples include sharing another member’s private health data, attempting to re-identify anonymized data, impersonating a licensed healthcare provider or Welltory representative, providing or soliciting individualized medical advice in a dangerous way, harassment or threats, evading moderation or bans, submitting false reports in bad faith, or providing materially false information in Community enrollment, consent, safety, or access processes.
Welltory may remove or restrict content immediately where it appears to create a safety, privacy, legal, security, or operational risk, even before completing full review.
You may appeal an enforcement decision by contacting [email protected] within 14 days after the decision is communicated to you. If an AI-assisted moderation tool contributed to the action, your appeal will be reviewed by a human moderator.
In your appeal, include your account details, the specific action you are disputing, and why you believe it was applied incorrectly. You will receive an automated confirmation that your appeal has been received. Appeals are reviewed in the order received. Only the account holder may appeal their own enforcement action.
Do not submit multiple appeals for the same decision – this will not speed up the process. After review, Welltory will inform you of the outcome. Repeated appeals for the same decision may be closed without additional review unless you provide new relevant information.
If you see content that violates these Guidelines:
If the issue involves accidental sharing of sensitive personal or medical information, include “Privacy — Community” in your message to [email protected] .
If the issue involves imminent danger, do not wait for Welltory moderation — contact local emergency services immediately.
Do not engage with or respond to violating content — report it and let moderators handle it.
If you disagree with a post but it does not violate these Guidelines, please do not report it. The reporting function is for genuine violations only. Using it to express disagreement, harass another member, or submit knowingly false or bad-faith reports may itself result in a warning or other enforcement action.
This Community is for peer support and education only. It is not an emergency service, crisis hotline, medical provider, or mental health care provider. Welltory moderators, AI tools, members, and Group Health Educators are not able to provide emergency or crisis care.
If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, has taken steps to cause harm, may act on thoughts of self-harm or suicide, may harm another person, or may be experiencing a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately.
Emergency and crisis resources:
If crisis signals are detected in the Community, Welltory may display automated crisis-resource messages and alert moderators. This does not mean Welltory can provide rescue, emergency intervention, clinical care, or continuous monitoring.
Welltory may update these Guidelines from time to time to reflect changes in Community features, safety practices, moderation standards, platform requirements, or applicable law. Material changes will be communicated with reasonable advance notice where required, such as by Community announcement, email, or in-app notice.
These Guidelines govern conduct and safety rules. Changes to subscription price, billing, cancellation, refunds, dispute resolution, or liability are governed by the Community Terms of Service, not these Guidelines.
