For the past months our team has been working on something that became very personal to me — the Self-Discovery Experiment.
One thing we kept seeing again and again was this…
People opened Welltory because they wanted to understand themselves better — but sometimes the amount of data made that harder.
Yeah, charts and reports are useful. But when your day is overwhelming, the last thing you want is to study your own health like it’s homework.
That’s why we created the Self-Discovery Experiment!
The idea behind it is very simple:
You wear your Apple Watch for a while and go about your day as usual. Meanwhile, Welltory tracks how your body responds in real time — and afterward, shows you what was happening moment by moment. Things like:
- Here’s where stress started building up.
- Here’s where your body recovered.
I remember one of the moments when this really clicked for our team.
Someone ran the experiment and realized that a short walk and a quiet coffee break restored them more than an extra hour of resting at home. Because their own body showed it to them.

Track how your body responds and changes in different situations in real life
If you want to try it, here’s how it works
1. Open Welltory → Tap the experiment block.
2. Choose a duration, I recommend 2 hours.
3. Keep your Apple Watch on and live your day normally.
4. When the experiment ends, you’ll get a notification with your results.
And just a small note — make sure your app is updated to the latest version, since the experiment is only available there.
